πŸ’» Creator Studio Is Designed for Desktop Use

Creator Studio is optimized for use on a desktop or laptop computer with a traditional mouse or trackpad.

You can access Creator Studio from an iPad or other tablet, but the editing experience may be limited because the program is not optimized for a touch-only interface.

🌐 Use Desktop Site and Landscape Mode

When using Creator Studio on a tablet:

  • Set your browser to display the desktop version of the website
  • Rotate the device into landscape mode

Depending on your browser, the desktop option may appear as:

  • Request Desktop Website
  • Desktop Site
  • View Desktop Site

Using desktop mode and landscape orientation gives Creator Studio more screen space and allows menus and editing tools to display more like they would on a computer.

πŸ“Έ Uploading Photos on a Tablet

Photo uploading works well on a tablet and does not have the same limitations as page editing.

Users can:

  • Upload photos through a Contributed Photo link
  • Log into a project in Desktop Site mode and use the Photo Uploader

These workflows do not rely heavily on drag-and-drop page editing tools, so users should be able to upload photos from a tablet without issue.

πŸ‘† Touchscreen Limitations

πŸ«† Touch Controls Warning

Creator Studio can be accessed on a tablet, but the page editor is not specifically optimized for touch-only use.

Β

Some editing functions may not respond as expected when using only the tablet's touchscreen.

This can include actions that rely on:

  • Dragging and dropping items
  • Precise clicking or selecting
  • Moving or positioning objects
  • Interacting with certain editor controls

Because Creator Studio was designed around a desktop interface, touchscreen gestures may not always behave the same way as mouse input.

πŸ–± Using a Mouse Is Recommended

If you need to edit a project in Creator Studio from a tablet, connecting a Bluetooth or compatible mouse can provide a much better experience.

A keyboard can also be useful, but a mouse is particularly helpful for navigating the editor and performing drag-and-drop actions.

βœ… Recommended Workflow

For the most reliable editing experience, use Creator Studio on a desktop or laptop computer.

If you are using a tablet:

  • Rotate the device into landscape mode.
  • Open Creator Studio in your tablet's web browser.
  • Enable Desktop Site or Request Desktop Website.
  • Connect a mouse when possible if you plan to edit pages.
  • Use the Photo Uploader normally for uploading images.
  • Be aware that some page-editing functions may still behave differently than they do on a desktop computer.
