What Happens When I Delete a Section?

Deleting a section permanently removes the section and its pages from your book. Any photos used in the deleted section will remain available in your project. Creator Studio may block the deletion if the section is locked or if removing it would disrupt a two-page spread
🗑️ How Do I Delete a Section?
- Open the Section Manager.
- Select the section you want to remove.
- Choose Delete Section.
- Confirm the deletion.
The section and its pages will be removed from the book. Photos used in the deleted section will not be deleted and will remain available in the project.
📄 How Do I Delete a Page from Page Manager?
- Open the Page Manager.
- Select the page you want to remove.
- Choose the option to delete the page.
- Review the warning banner.
- Confirm the deletion.
⚠️ What Happens to Left- and Right-Page Layouts?
When you delete a page from Page Manager, a warning banner will explain that layouts designed specifically for left or right pages may be reversed.
After deleting the page or section, review the remaining pages. Left-page layouts may move to right pages, and right-page layouts may move to left pages. These layouts may need to be manually corrected.

🚫 Why Can’t I Delete a Section?
Creator Studio will prevent a section from being deleted in the following situations:
| Restriction | What It Means |
|---|---|
| The section is locked | A locked section must be unlocked before it can be deleted. |
| Deleting it would break a two-page spread | The section cannot be removed if doing so would disrupt a consecutive two-page layout that follows it. |
When a deletion is blocked, Creator Studio will display the reason so you can correct the issue before trying again.
✅ What Should I Check Before Deleting a Page or Section?
Before confirming the deletion:
- Confirm that the section is not locked.
- Review the two-page spreads that follow the page or section.
- Confirm that you no longer need the page or section content.
- Review the warning banner in Page Manager.
- Check the remaining pages for reversed left- or right-page layouts after deletion.
- Deleted section photos will remain available in the project for use on other pages.
