📐 Adding and Removing Guidelines
Guidelines help align objects consistently while designing a page or spread.
⚙️ Show the Rulers
- Open a page or spread in the Editor.
- Select Advanced in the upper-right corner.

Select Rulers, Grids and Guides.

Under Show/Hide, enable Rulers.

Select Done.
➕ Add a Guideline
To add a guideline, select and drag from one of the rulers onto the page.
- Drag from the top ruler to add a horizontal guideline.
- Drag from the left ruler to add a vertical guideline.
Release the guideline when it reaches the desired position.

👁️ Show or Hide Guidelines
- Open Advanced.
- Select Rulers, Grids and Guides.
- Under Show/Hide, select Guide Lines to show or hide the guidelines.
- Select Done.
Hiding guidelines removes them from view without deleting them.

🗑️ Remove Guidelines
Select Clear all next to Guide Lines to remove all guidelines from the page.
Note: Clearing guidelines removes them from the page. Hiding guidelines only removes them from view.

Do guidelines appear in the finished or printed book?
No. Guidelines are editing tools used to help position and align objects.
What is the difference between hiding and clearing guidelines?
Hiding guidelines removes them from view without deleting them. Selecting Clear all removes them from the page.

Drag from the top ruler to add a horizontal guideline. Drag from the left ruler to add a vertical guideline.
Can guidelines help align a portrait grid?
