✨ Overview
Creator Studio supports HEIC image uploads directly through the web browser.
HEIC is a common image format used by iPhones and other Apple devices. If your photo is saved as a standard .heic image, you can upload it directly to Creator Studio without converting it to JPG or PNG first.
For the best experience, use Creator Studio on a laptop or desktop computer.
📁 Before You Upload
Make sure the file is a standard still HEIC image.
The following can cause upload or processing issues:
- Live Photos
- Motion-enabled HEIC files
- HEIC files containing embedded video
- Animated or burst-mode image files
If the image includes motion, save or export it as a still image before uploading.
🚀 How to Upload a HEIC Image
Uploading a HEIC image works the same way as uploading other supported image formats.
1️⃣ Open Your Project
Log in to Creator Studio and open your yearbook project.

2️⃣ Open Photos
From the left toolbar, select Photos.

3️⃣ Choose a Folder
Select the folder where you want your image saved.

4️⃣ Select Add Photos
Inside the folder, click Add Photos.

5️⃣ Choose Upload Source
Select the location where your image is stored, such as My Computer or Downloads.

6️⃣ Select the HEIC Image
Choose the .heic image you want to upload.

7️⃣ Upload the Image
Click Upload.
Once processing is complete, the image will appear in your selected photo folder and can be used in your project like other uploaded images.

⚠️ If a HEIC Image Does Not Upload
If a HEIC image does not upload or process correctly, confirm that the file is a standard still image and has not been corrupted during transfer.
If needed, export or save the image as a JPG or PNG and try uploading it again.
📱 Using iPhone Photos
Photos transferred from an iPhone do not need to be converted simply because they use the HEIC format.
For best results:
- Use high-resolution original images.
- Avoid heavily compressed copies of photos.
- Transfer the original image file whenever possible.
- Upload from a laptop or desktop computer for the recommended Creator Studio experience.
🏁 Final Note
Creator Studio's HEIC support allows photos from Apple devices to be uploaded directly without requiring an additional conversion step. Standard HEIC images can be added and used in your yearbook project just like JPG and PNG images.
