For additional help with portrait tools and organization, check out our full Portraits Guide.

🚶‍♂️ Uploading Your PSPA Portraits

Step 1: Access the People Section

From your project dashboard, click “People” in the left-hand menu.

Step 2: Start the PSPA Import

To begin importing your PSPA file, either:

Click “Use PSPA” in the center of the screen

OR

Click “Add/Import” in the top-right corner and select “Import PSPA”

Step 3: If Your PSPA Was Delivered as a ZIP File

Some photographers send PSPA packages digitally as ZIP files. These must be unzipped before you can upload.

On Windows:

Right-click the ZIP file and select “Extract All.”

Choose a destination folder and click “Extract.”

On Mac:

Double-click the ZIP file
It will automatically extract to a new folder in the same location.

Step 4: Upload Your Portraits

Back in your yearbook project:

Click "Select CD or Folder"

Use the file picker to locate and select the unzipped PSPA folder

Click “Upload.”

🔐 A security confirmation may pop up. Click “Upload” again to continue.

Step 5: Verify Your Column Values

  1. The next screen will display the values of each column in your Index file.

  2. Use the drop down menus to set the proper value of your columns (Student's first name, grade, teacher, etc.)

  3. Once all columns are set click "Finish Import"

Step 6: Monitor the Upload

If no errors are found, your portraits and data will begin uploading.

A progress bar will appear so you can track the status.

📝 Note: If your project already includes portraits, Creator Studio Pro will try to merge duplicates. For merging to work, student data (name, grade, photo file, etc.) must match exactly.

➕ Adding a Single Portrait

Step 1: Open the Add Person Menu

In the People Manager:

Click “Add/Import”, then choose “Add New Person.”

Step 2: Upload & Enter Info

In the pop-up:

Click “Browse” to upload a photo.

Enter first and last name (required).

Add

Click “Save.”

🖼️ Uploading Multiple Portraits (Photos Only)

Step 1: Open the Import Menu

In the People Manager:

Click “Add/Import”, then choose “Upload Photos Only.”

Step 2: Choose Your Upload Source

You can either:

Click the cloud to browse files on your device

Choose a source from the menu on the right

Step 3: Select the Portrait Images

Choose the portraits you want to upload

💡 Tip: Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) to select multiple images

Click “Open”

Step 4: Upload Your Files

Click “Upload.”

Step 5: Enter Student Info

Once the images are uploaded:

Click on a student's name (highlighted in light blue)

Click “Save”

Your portraits are now ready to organize and place into your yearbook pages.
