Creator Studio displays colored and dotted guide lines to show where content may be trimmed, folded, wrapped, or affected during production.

The guides differ between covers and interior pages. Blue guidelines may also be added manually to help align design elements.

📕 Cover Guide Lines
 

🟣 Purple Line — Bleed Area

Background images and colors should extend past the purple line so the cover prints edge-to-edge.

🔴 Red Line — Trim or Wrap Line

The red line indicates where the cover will be cut or wrapped.

Important content should not cross this boundary.

🟢 Green Line — Safe Area

Keep critical content inside the green line, including:

• Text
• Faces
• Logos
• Important design elements

⚫ Dotted Line — Spine Area

The dotted line indicates where the cover folds around the spine.

Avoid placing important content across this area unless it is intentionally part of the spine design.

📄 Interior Page Guide Lines

🟣 Magenta Line — Recommended Safe Area

Keep important content inside the magenta or purple line to reduce the risk of it being trimmed or affected near the page edge or fold.

⚫ Dotted Line — Crop or Fold Line

The dotted line represents:

• The crop line near the outside edge of a page
• The fold line near the center spine of a spread

Keep important text, faces, logos, and other critical content away from these lines.

🔵 User-Placed Guidelines

Blue lines are guidelines manually placed by the user to help align and position design elements.

These guidelines are visible in the editor and do not print in the finished book.
