⚠️ Note:
Available sizes, binding styles, and page count options may vary depending on the version of Creator Studio Pro (CSP) you are using. If you do not see a specific option in your project, it may not be available for your yearbook program or product configuration.
📚 How Many Pages Can My Yearbook Have?
The number of pages available depends on the binding type selected for your yearbook.
| Binding Type | Minimum Pages | Maximum Pages |
|---|---|---|
| Saddle Stitch (Staple Bound) | 20 | 88 |
| Softcover | 20 | 200 |
| Hardcover | 20 | 400 |
⚠️ Important: Saddle-stitched books can support up to 88 pages, but we recommend limiting them to 68 pages or fewer whenever possible. As page counts increase, the staples become less effective at supporting the weight and thickness of the book.
📏 What Yearbook Sizes Are Available?
Yearbooks are available in the following sizes:
| Size | Dimensions |
| Size 8 | 8.5" × 11" |
| Size 9 | 9" × 12" |
📎 What Is a Saddle-Stitched Yearbook?
A saddle-stitched yearbook uses staples placed along the folded spine of the book.
This option is best suited for:
- Smaller yearbooks
- Memory books
- Event programs
- Lower page-count projects
Because the pages are secured with staples, saddle-stitched books are generally recommended for thinner publications.
📘 What Is a Softcover Yearbook?
A softcover yearbook uses a flexible cover and supports larger page counts than a saddle-stitched book.
This option is commonly used for:
- Elementary school yearbooks
- Club and organization books
- Medium-sized yearbook projects
📚 What Is a Hardcover Yearbook?
A hardcover yearbook uses a rigid cover and supports the largest page counts available.
This option is commonly used for:
- Middle school yearbooks
- High school yearbooks
- Commemorative publications
- Larger yearbook projects
❓ Which Binding Type Should I Choose?
The best binding option depends primarily on the number of pages in your project.
- Choose Saddle Stitch for smaller books and lower page counts.
- Choose Softcover when your project exceeds the recommended saddle-stitch range.
- Choose Hardcover for larger projects that require the highest page-count capacity.
If you expect your yearbook to exceed 68 pages, consider using a softcover or hardcover format for the best results.
