✨ Overview

In Creator Studio, the Unassigned category is a temporary holding area for images that are not currently linked to a specific section or photo folder in your project.

You can find this category in the Photos area.

⚙️ When Does This Happen?

Images may automatically move to the Unassigned category when:

  • A section the images were originally assigned to is deleted
  • Images are uploaded but not yet placed into a specific folder or section
  • Photos or page designs are imported but not organized yet

The Unassigned category simply ensures that images are not lost if their original location changes.

🛠 How to Organize Unassigned Photos

You can move or copy these images into another section or folder.

Open Photos

Click the Unassigned folder

Select the image(s) you want to organize

Use the Move To or Copy To dropdown menu

Choose the destination section or folder

🔄 Move & Copy

ℹ️Note:

In Section-Based Books Users will have the options Move and Copy

Move
Transfers the image from Unassigned into the selected section.

Copy
Keeps the original image in Unassigned and places an additional copy in the selected section.

🧠 Why This Matters

Keeping the Unassigned category organized helps:

  • Maintain a clean photo library
  • Reduce confusion for team members
  • Ensure images are placed in the correct sections
  • Prevent photos from being overlooked during page design

🏁 Final Tip

Periodically review the Unassigned category while working on your project. Moving images into their proper sections early helps keep your workflow organized as your yearbook grows.
