๐Ÿงท What is Object Locking?

Object locking allows you to secure elements such as images, text boxes, lines, and shapes so they cannot be accidentally moved, resized, or edited. This is especially helpful when working on complex or busy page designs where elements are close together.


๐Ÿ”’ Lock an Object

Steps

  • Click the object you want to lock
  • Locate the Lock icon in the left panel
  • Click the icon to lock the object

Once locked, the object cannot be moved, resized, or modified.


๐Ÿ”“ Unlock an Object

Steps

  • Select the locked object
  • Click the Unlock icon in the same left panel

The object will immediately become editable again.


๐Ÿ‘ฅ Permissions

Any team member with page editing access can lock or unlock objects.


โš ๏ธ Important Behavior Notes

Locked objects stay fixed during normal editing

โœ๏ธ Applying a layout or theme to a page will overwrite locked elements

โŒ Applying layouts across a section or portrait group will replace locked items

๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Dragging a freeform layout onto a page will overwrite locked objects

๐Ÿ”“ Ungrouping a locked group automatically unlocks all elements inside it

These actions replace page content and are not prevented by locking.

  • Lock finished elements to prevent accidental edits
  • Lock background graphics before placing text or images
  • Recheck locked items after applying layouts or themes
